Default Best filler for lightweight fiberglass??

Need to know the best filler to use on a lightweight fiberglass body, Got a few holes to fill and some low spot on the body itself to try to smooth out. I've got some Rage X-treme, is that good to use on fiberglass???
Thanks for the help, advise!!!
Mark

Sorry dude..... been busy finishing a season and a whirlwind trip to SEMA. Evercoat Rage is an excellent choice, since it's polyester just like your glass body. If you're skim coating like I think you will be there's no real difference in the weight of different fillers, although some claim to be "light weight" but that just means that there's more air whipped into the mix, just like peanut butter.

Sorry for the delay...

KT.

I got another question for you Kevin or anyone else that can answer,,,, With this lightweight fiberglass body, Im going to use the Rage Xtream on it for the light skim coating, and light filling.

There are some low spots and holes that will need to be filled and a couple of cracks that need to be fixed too. Can i just put the mesh in behind the cracks and the holes and fill as normal???

The low spots will take care of themselves with blocking, but the cracks need to be "stop-drilled" and then the mesh/resin applied to the back side. Stop drilling is exactly like it sounds.... find the end of the crack... drill and 1/8 inch hole at the end.... "V" the crack up to the hold with sand paper, and repair the top and bottom of the panel. I usually start with the underside first, then worry about the aesthetics of the top. That's the only bearcat about fiberglass... it's hard to just "patch" a repair and have it last.

Hope this helps!

KT.
